From now on all MTS company subscribers may appreciate advantages of the newest wireless technologies, using the service “MTS Wi-Fi”.

Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) is a technology of data broadcasting in the IEEE 802.11x standard, which is used for creation of wireless Internet access networks and data transmission.

With the service “MTS Wi-Fi”, you receive an opportunity to connect to broadband Internet, and also you may freely move within the area of the hot spot coverage (a cafe, restaurant, hotel or business-center). For this purpose, your notebook, PPC or smartphone must be equipped with a Wi-Fi module or support Intel Centrino technology. Connection to the Internet takes place at a speed of up to 50 Mbit/sec.

MTS wireless network is compatible with the devices of the 802.11b, 802.11g or 802.11n standards.
